Quorum was determined and the meeting was called to order at about 6:00 p.m.

Officer Williams of the Clearwater Police Department was present to give an update on local police activity. He happily reported no new crime trends and a relatively calm New Year’s Eve, with everything under control even at local night spots. He felt that the recent cold snap was a contributing factor to the dearth of adverse incidents, and perhaps the biggest thing for this month was that somebody was caught stealing DVD’s from the Library.
